Lemonade Day Northwest Alberta

Lemonade Day is Coming to Town - June 23, 2018!

Help us empower today’s youth to be tomorrow’s entrepreneurs!

Lemonade Day is a free, fun, experiential learning program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their own business – a lemonade stand.  Lemonade Day workshops will be offered in Athabasca, Redwater, Morinville and Westlock.

Lemonade Day is open to youth of all ages from elementary school to high school! TO REGISTER CLICK HERE

The foremost objective of Lemonade Day is to empower youth to take ownership of their lives and become productive members of society – the business leaders, social advocates, volunteers, and forward thinking citizens of tomorrow.

Each child that registers receives a backpack with an Entrepreneur Workbook that teaches them the lessons of Lemonade Day like creating budgets, setting profit-making goals, serving customers, repaying investors, and giving back to the community. Along the way, they acquire skills in goal-setting, problem solving, and gain self-esteem critical for future success. They keep all the money they make and are encouraged to spend some, save some and share some.

This is a great opportunity for kids in the area to try their hand at starting and managing their own business, but Lemonade Day is a big project so we need your help!  We are looking for participants, volunteers sponsors and more.  If you are interested in being a part of Lemonade Day please contact us today. HELP US TO HELP YOU!!
We firmly believe that Community Futures organizations can do more to help the federal government achieve the objectives of Canada’s Innovation Agenda. However, in order for us to be more effective, the Community Futures Program needs to be strengthened.

In March 2017, the Community Futures Network of Canada submitted a proposal for the renewal and modernization of the Community Futures Program to Innovation, Science and Economic Development Minister, and the Community Futures Network of Canada is seeking community support to ensure that our recommendations are adopted by the federal government without further delay.
